It’s often elegant in some way but without looking at the tags one might assume they were from thrift stores and not renowned high-end brands. Part of this is Heather’s general irreverence and refusal to follow the etiquette of high society despite enjoying it’s comforts, and part of it is that anything that’s not very tight-fitting on her is at risk of burning up if she uses her powers.[break][break]GENERAL[break][break]Heather is fairly tall and thin, and generally could probably convince people she’s a full decade younger than her actual age if she wanted to. Her hair is blonde and quite wavy. Though it isn’t visually noticeable, touching her skin would reveal a rather odd fact about her- her body’s resting temperature is higher than normal, her power accelerates her metabolism even if she isn’t actively using it giving her an internal temperature that in most people would be considered a fever.

[attr="class","hopelovetop"]Alcott is an old money family, and on meeting her it’s not hard to guess this from her general lack of ambition. She hasn’t had a serious job before, and for that matter she almost never is serious about anything else either. Excited and playful most of the time, Heather does whatever she feels like doing at the moment and dreads circumstances forcing her to do things, unfortunately for everybody else doing what she feels like does not preclude illegal or immoral actions. No real pattern can be found in her criminal behavior because there isn’t one- she steals things because she wants to have them, hurts and terrorizes people because she honestly enjoys doing it, sets things on fire to see all the pretty colors it makes.[break][break]Heather has no real agenda in her behavior, she’s capable of being subtle and manipulative but almost never is because for her it’s really all about her enjoyment. She’s surprisingly friendly to other people most of the time and seems easy to get along with to anybody who doesn’t mind that she acts half her actual age, but she really lacks a sense of moderation, any slight against her is met with extreme retaliation.

[attr="class","hopelovetop"]The Alcott family in Boston is small, but they’ve been extremely rich since the late 19th century, and Heather thus grew up accustomed to getting to do anything she wanted, a situation that no doubt exacerbated her issues especially given that she’s barely had any contact with her remaining family since moving out at 20. Heather hates anything stifling her at all, and her relatives had been distant enough growing up that to her they were just another group of people telling her what to do.[break][break]She’s done a lot of different things since moving into her own house in Southern California, and still receives a lot of money from her family's investments, but since the Event she’s started adding criminal activities to her repertoire for a simple reason- she can get away with it.

[attr="class","hopelovetop"][attr="class","hopelovesub"]Ionising Heat Fields[break][break]Heather’s body is able to create and shape fields of extreme heat around her, functionally speaking this means she can make and shape plasma around her body (this gives the appearance of being wreathed in flames since the cooling plasma at the edge of the fields effectively are very hot flames). She can shape it into armor to use it as protection since it’s hot enough to turn nearly anything to vapor and interferes with some types of energy attack, she can create weapons from it, and even use it to hover and (rather clumsily) fly through jet propulsion. Her body is completely unharmed by extreme heat and she doesn’t feel any pain from it. She can create smaller fields and lesser amounts of heat at her own discretion.[break][break] LIMITS[break][break]Her aura of heat (roughly 4500 kelvin) only extends a few inches from her skin, though the plasma itself can create uncomfortable levels of heat for a few feet beyond that. Her flight speed tops out at 65 miles per hour, though turning can only be done at much lower speeds.[break][break]WEAKNESSES[break][break]Plasma is not stable at any temperature that occurs on Earth, so once outside her few-inch heat fields it quickly will cool and become a gas, meaning that while Heather can attack at a range the heat, and thus damage, decreases with distance. This effect is even more pronounced in very cold temperatures, and a very sudden drop in temperature can momentarily leave her disabled. Heather can only fly and shape things from plasma at her highest temperatures, and though she can ‘heat up’ quite fast, it can take 10-20 seconds to reach ionizing levels of heat, finally it’s quite fortuitous she can hover because at maximum heat she has to- otherwise the ground underneath her would melt.[break][break]
